We feed a 100% Organic diet. Multi-species Organic pastures and hay, and when appropriate Organic barley, oats and peas. It’s the diversity of the natural Organic diet that our lamb enjoys, that makes it taste so good.

We use alternative medicines as first choice; homoeopathy, herbal remedies etc. The routine use of antibiotics in organic farming is prohibited. Antibiotic ‘resistance’ is now a global health concern. By choosing our Organic lamb you are actively helping to combat a major global health issue.

Being certified organic, we use no chemical fertilisers or pesticides and use traditional methods to combat erosion. We do not irrigate. Instead we use plant species much more resistant to drought; like deep rooting Clover, Lucerne, Sainfoin and Cocksfoot. Our flock is based on the remarkable Romane sheep with its roots in France, Russia and Iceland. Many believe that the meat’s amazing gourmet qualities come from the Romanov genes, which are part of the "northern short-tailed" group of sheep (also includes Finn, Shetland, and Icelandic sheep).
